What You Need
Before you start, make sure you have everything ready to go.
Step-by-Step Setup Guide
From zero to live TV in under 4 minutes. No technical knowledge needed.
Step 1 — Open Samsung Smart Hub
Pick up your Samsung remote and press the Home button (the house icon). Your Samsung Smart Hub will appear at the bottom of the screen. Navigate left or right and select Apps. This opens the Samsung App Store where you can search for and install IPTV applications directly on your TV — no phone, no USB drive, and no extra hardware required.
Step 2 — Search for and Install an IPTV App
In the Samsung App Store, find the search icon (magnifying glass) in the top-right corner. Type "IPTV Smarters" using your remote's on-screen keyboard, or use a USB keyboard plugged into your TV's USB port for faster typing. Select IPTV Smarters Pro from the results and click Install. It's free to download. Alternatively, search for "SS IPTV" — another excellent and widely available option. Both apps support M3U playlists and EPG guides.
Step 3 — Launch the App and Add Your M3U Playlist
Open the IPTV app after it finishes installing. In IPTV Smarters Pro, select "Add New User" on the welcome screen. Choose "M3U URL" as the login type. Enter a name for your profile (e.g. WatchIPTV). In the M3U URL field, paste your WatchIPTV M3U link exactly as provided — copy it from your welcome email to avoid typos. If you also received an EPG URL, paste it into the EPG URL field at this stage. Tap Add User to confirm. The app will begin loading your channel list — this typically takes 30 to 60 seconds for a full 45,000+ channel library.
Step 4 — Start Watching
Once your channels have loaded, you're ready to go. Navigate through the category list on the left — channels are organised by country, genre (Sports, News, Movies, Kids, etc.), and language. Tap the EPG or TV Guide button to see what's currently on and what's coming up over the next 7 days. Use the search function to quickly find a specific channel by name. To switch between IPTV and your regular Samsung TV input (satellite, cable, or aerial), simply press the Home button and navigate back to your normal input source.

Troubleshooting Common Issues
Something not working? Here are the most common problems and their solutions.
App availability in the Samsung App Store varies by region. If IPTV Smarters Pro is not showing, try searching for "SS IPTV" as an alternative — it's available in more regions. If neither is available, connect an Amazon Fire Stick or Android TV Box to one of your Samsung TV's HDMI ports and install TiviMate or IPTV Smarters on that device instead.
First, make sure your Samsung TV has a working internet connection — try loading a YouTube video to confirm. Then verify your M3U URL has no typos by copying it directly from your WatchIPTV welcome email rather than typing it manually. If the issue persists, contact WatchIPTV support via WhatsApp to confirm your subscription is active and your M3U URL is correct.
Samsung TVs can take 30 to 90 seconds to parse a large M3U playlist the first time, especially with 45,000+ channels. This is completely normal behaviour. Subsequent launches will be significantly faster because the app caches the channel list locally. Do not close the app during the initial load — wait for the progress indicator to complete.
Make sure you've entered your EPG URL in the app settings — it's provided alongside your M3U URL in your WatchIPTV welcome message. In IPTV Smarters, go to User Panel → Edit User and add the EPG URL there. EPG data may take 2 to 5 minutes to fully download and sync on the first load. Ensure your TV stays connected to the internet during this process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about IPTV on Samsung Smart TV, answered.
Any Samsung Smart TV from 2016 onwards running Tizen OS is compatible. This covers virtually all Samsung TVs sold in the last eight years, including QLED, Neo QLED, Crystal UHD, and The Frame series. If your Samsung TV has a Smart Hub and can access the App Store, it will work with IPTV Smarters Pro or SS IPTV.
Yes. If your Samsung TV supports 4K display output (any Samsung UHD, QLED, Neo QLED, or OLED from 2016 onwards) and your internet connection delivers at least 25 Mbps sustained speed, WatchIPTV's 4K channels will stream at full 4K resolution. Samsung's QLED and Neo QLED panels are among the best displays available for watching 4K IPTV content.
Smart IPTV has been removed from the Samsung App Store in several regions following policy changes. IPTV Smarters Pro and SS IPTV are the most reliable and widely available alternatives currently in the Samsung App Store. We recommend IPTV Smarters Pro as the primary choice, with SS IPTV as the fallback if Smarters is unavailable in your region.
Yes — this is highly recommended. Entering a long M3U URL using a TV remote's on-screen keyboard is slow and error-prone. A standard USB keyboard plugged into your Samsung TV's USB port (usually on the side or back) works immediately and makes typing your M3U URL much faster and more accurate. Disconnect it after setup if you prefer.
Press the Home button on your Samsung remote to return to Smart Hub. From there, switch back to your regular input source (cable, satellite, or aerial) by selecting the appropriate source icon, just as you would switch to any other app or input on your Samsung TV. The IPTV app keeps your place, so when you return it resumes where you left off.
